It’s October. I don’t know how we got here, but we’re here, and THAT MEANS IT’S FALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL. Not summer, but FALLLLLLLLLLLLLL. Autumn, cooler temperatures, and if you are so lucky, leaf changing time. Goodbye hot summer days full of vacations, sandcastles, and ice cream stops. Summer is also a really good time to binge on contemporaries and light-hearted fun books. I thought I had a pretty good book summer full of ups and downs – and definitely a lot of four crown reads which is pretty good in my book.

What was your Favorite Book this Summer?
Ooooooh, I actually didn’t add many (I mean, like ANY except the one that I’m about to mention) favorites to my mess of a favorites shelf this summer. I thought I had a good book summer, but apparently, I failed in my favorites. The only one that I did add was Eliza and Her Monsters, so I would have to go with that one.
What was your Least Favorite Book this Summer?
Dreamfall by Amy Plum. It was the first one crown review that I have given since I was a book blogger, and I honestly can’t believe I stuck with it. Definitely not a fan since just about everything went wrong.
What Book Did you wish You had read this Summer?
Oooooh, I’ve been meaning to read Truthwitch by Susan Dennard for the longest time, and I was really hoping to knock it out in July. However, my reading butt got sidetracked, and of course, I totally messed it. I’m so hoping to get it out by the end of the year, so let’s see how I do?
What was your Favorite Classic you read this summer?(If you didn’t read one this summer than in general.)
AHAHAHAHA. That’s adorable that they think that I read classics. Mandy and classics? Noooooooooooooooooooooooo. We do not go together. Except in the case of Oscar Wilde. I love that man’s wit. Although after reading Speak Easy, Speak Love, I do have the strangest urge to reread Much Ado About Nothing and fall madly in love with that one too.
Did you stray into a different genre and pick up a new and exciting book?
Ermmmmmmm, no? I don’t think so. Typically, I’m all over the place when it comes to genres. I love me some contemporaries, fantasies, horrors, GHOSTIES, fairytale retellings, and more. When the mood strikes, I can love just about anything. I did try audiobooks this summer, and I mean, I did only get through one, but STILL. That’s new?
What was your favorite movie adaptation this summer?
UM, UM, UM, none? I don’t think I saw any. Honestly, the last movie I saw in the theater was…okay, I can’t even remember it. But I know I saw one recently. Oh crap. It wasn’t that memorable then? OOPS?
What was your favorite new release book?
(Sidenote: I just remembered what the movie was. Definitely NOT a book release, but I can now thankfully put that to bed and tuck it on in as irrelevant information to this tag.) Welllllllllllllllllll, my favorite new release this summer was definitely Sasquatch, Love, and Other Imaginary Things. SO MUCH FUN. And involves a lot of woodsy scenes, so a perfect crossover for a fall book?

Oh this tag is really fun! And that classic question reminded me I haven’t read a classic in YEARS. Thank you for the tag, I am excited to do my own 😊

Yes! I felt so much pressure because I’m like, OH NO. I HAVE READ NONE. Can’t wait to see it! ❤

Thanks for tagging me! Your answers were too funny, I don’t remember the last movie I saw either… (in theatres).

Ahahaha thanks, Kyera. I literally sat there for 10 minutes trying to figure it out. It literally haunting me to remember it. I guess books and real world stuff have kept us from going to see movies.

Yeah, books will always top movies haha.

Indeed! Since I started doing this, I really don’t feel like watching tv or movies anymore. I used to be so invested in tv and now it’s just like, this book is so much more interesting.

I’ve always read a lot, but I agree.. I always feel like gosh I have to sit and watch tv when all I want to do is go read?

Yes! I try and multitask now. XD How are you catching up on shows? I remember you said you and your mom had a huge list of shows to get caught up on.

Major failure. We watched two or three episodes of Doctor Who before it disappeared from on demand, maybe three episodes of Once Upon a Time and I watched one season of the Flash… that’s it. 🙃

NOOOOOOOOOOOO. That’s terrible for Doctor Who! I’ve had that happen a few times when it disappeared and it’s crushing. But at least it’s some progress! XD

Haha oh yeah, I’m a progress machine. Maybe one day I’ll be in the mood to continue binge watching.

Fun tag! I really want to read some of Oscar Wilde’s works. Do you have any recommendations?

You know, I would start with The Importance of Being Earnest first. That was the first one that got me hooked on him. It was funny and super easy breeze to read.

Thanks so much, Michaela! It really was a great book, and I have quite a few books on that list of I can’t believe I haven’t gotten to them yet. Too many books, so little time! And thank you – it is SO adorable in real life. XD

Yessssssssssss. The Importance of Being Earnest is my favorite classic ever. Have you read any of his yet? And YES. I definitely need to be a book pusher for you for that one. 😉

Oh niiiiice! I’ve read the Centerville Ghost, which was so much fun, but that’s the only one I’ve read. His other books have been on my list for forever though! In 2018 I really want to start reading at least one classic per month, so maybe then… 🙂

Ooooooh yes, I think that would be the perfect time. It’s SUCH an easy read, and you will breeze through it – I think I did in in one sitting? And it’s just so funny. 😀
