Another amazing meme! Are we excited? Well I certainly am! Before I get into it, we should probably find out what this amazing meme is?
#ARCstravaganza is hosted by the wonderful ladies of YA and Wine – Krysti and Sarah – where each week, we showcase one of the best perks of being a book blogger – those glorious ARCs – on our blogs, Instagrams, or both! And when you participate? You’ll be entered to win a YA ARC each month! How cool is that? Find out more about it here!
I figured for the first one, I should feature a super cool indie one that I’m super excited about. So, without further ado, I present you…
Scythe of Darkness by Dawn Husted
For Mia Hieskety, surviving high school meant focusing on exams and avoiding stupid parties. After breaking up with the only boyfriend she ever had, dating was off the agenda. That is, until Thanatos came along.
Inexplicably drawn to Thanatos, she’s determined to find out who he is and why he insists on wearing gloves to school. Something is off about him. And it’s as if she can feel him when he’s near.
Without warning, she’s thrust into a sinister world and discovers a truth that she never expected. When a supernatural connection puts Mia’s life at risk, she doesn’t know who to trust—especially Thanatos. But what if she’s in love with him?
Bold, irresistible, and beautifully written, Scythe of Darkness explores a star-crossed destiny in a whole new way. Don’t miss this hot YA urban fantasy!
I met Dawn through Twitter, and she was always super nice. When she offered to send me over a copy, I was intrigued, and when I found out it was about Thanatos, I was SO in.
I think I mentioned it a few times on the blog, but I used to do a lot of creative writing, and one of my books was actually featured Death (aka Thanos as I spelled it) as a main character. So, of course, I am always super interested and excited to find Thanatos in more YA books. Then I read the first chapter and was even more excited.
I will definitely be reading this soon…or who knows, maybe I’m already reading this at this point. XD
Yay!!! It’s our first #ARCstravaganza post!!!! I love this, Mandy! I didn’t know you used to write! We’ll have to chat more about that. Also, this book sounds awesome! Thanks for featuring it!

There’s a couple blog posts and a few on bookstagram this week, so that is good for week one, I think. 🙂 I think a lot of want to be writers turn into to book bloggers, or book blog as their writing. The two go really well together. It’s all a celebration of books. 🙂

Ooooh, yay!! 😀 And by next week, there will be a ton more. 😀 But I definitely see that with a lot of people. And I think you’re right about it becoming their writing for sure. It’s still be creative but less stress to get a character down right. XD But yes! 😀
