IF YOU ENJOYED…
Cinder by Marissa Meyer
If you have followed this blog for any length of time, you know I’m a fan of The Lunar Chronicles. I’m a total fangirling mess for it. It is my book life. To be honest, though, I wasn’t really sold on a futuristic cyborg Cinderella retelling? I mean, honestly? How could that work? But Meyer did it brilliantly, and I’m utter trash for everything about this series. It is a brilliant story and the retelling aspects are sooooooo amazing. Check out my review here.

Princess of Tyrone by Katie Hamstead
To tell the truth, I wasn’t super trusting of this book either. I had yet to read a good Sleeping Beauty retelling and once again, I was skeptical about a futuristic retelling. But this book was done sooooo well. It is such a wonderful retelling and it implemented the futuristic elements well. So, why would you like it if you liked Cinder? Secret princess, adorable prince, cool technology, crazy evil villain, and keeping true to the original fairytale element. It brings a lot of that same feeling to it that Cinder had going for it. Cinder does bring new elements to the story while Princess of Tyrone does stick more to the original fairytale. It’s not quite Cinder, but it’s the closest I ever got to it, so super yay for that! ❤ Check out my review here!
A few of my friends LOVE Cinder and have been trying to get me to read it for AGES. Maybe this is a sign that I should give it a try? 🙂

Ahahaha, yes, perhaps! XD It is such an interesting read, and the fairytale elements are done so wonderfully.

Ahahahaha ikkkkkkkkkkkk, Rendz. There are seriously so many. But if you are ever stuck in a TLC mood but for some odd reason, don’t want to pick up TLC, this shall be the book. 😉 But I mean, when are you never going to want to pick up TLC? THE ANSWER IS NEVER.

I’ve never read the Lunar Chronicles, I’m trying not to read too much science fiction after I was hugely disappointed in Illuminae.

Yeah, Ashley, it is pretty heavily science fiction, so definitely wouldn’t be as fun especially since you didn’t enjoy Illuminae. Maybe one day. 🙂

Yes! I think I accidentally stumbled upon it through one of the many Goodreads binges. But it definitely starts to give you the same feeling of TLC! 😀
