I definitely have my fair share of book opinions, and thanks to Jamie @ Bubbly Books, I can break out my certain “totally should’ve” thoughts on things. Definitely make sure you check out Jamie’s blog. I’ve definitely picked up a few books after reading her wonderful reviews, and she is forever doing fantastic tags like this.
The tag was originally created by emmmabooks.
Totally should’ve gotten a sequel.
I felt like there were some things still open at the end of the book, so I think that I would definitely pick up a second in this book to see more about where Elizabeth’s journey goes.
Totally should’ve had a spin off series.
I STILL NEED A SOLO STORY ABOUT ELLA, SO I DEMAND A SPIN-OFF SERIES WITH HER, PLEASE AND THANK YOU.
An author who totally should write more books.
Forest’s books were just the right amount of fluffiness that resurrected my cold dead heart, so I’m more than pleased to have her write more books.
A character who totally should’ve ended up with someone else.
Our two main leads should have definitely ended up solo in this one. The chemistry wasn’t there, and there wasn’t enough time to develop the romance. Just let us have soloness!!
Totally should’ve ended differently.
I was hoping so so hard that this book would subvert the trope that I could see coming – but, nope, it played so hard into it. However, it didn’t even do it nicely, but instead, did it in a weird rush that made no sense organically. The fantastic art couldn’t save it from itself.
Totally should’ve had a movie franchise.
Film/Hollywood People, HEAR MY PLEAS. We need this series as movies so so so much. Just give it to me, and put me out of my misery.
Totally should’ve had a TV show.
I would never get tired of seeing Percy and Co. fight off monsters and dive deeper into Greek Mythology. And then add in Heroes of Olympus, and y’allllllllllll. It would be genius.
Totally should’ve had only one point of view.
I only read this book to read half of the storyline (only enjoyed one character’s plot and voice), so I would gladly have taken only one POV.
Totally should have a cover change.
I really did enjoy this book, but it took me the longest time to pick up a psychical copy, because it’s certainly not a book that I immediately want to pick off my shelf and gaze at adoringly. Which is clearly the only reason to own a book.
Totally should’ve kept the original covers.
Sure, the original ones could use a touch of a revamp, but these…these feel like they are the originals from, like, the 90s or something. The super mute colors and super sketchy/cartoonish drawing really messes with me. I was more than ready to invest in pretty new copies, but this was not a jam.
Totally should’ve stopped at book one
I felt like this book really could have been a perfect standalone. I felt like we had a concise plot, resolution, etc., but then we added on another plotline that extended it. I think it could have been wrapped up to be done. I’m really not that excited about going for the next one (even though I really really enjoyed the first), and I’ve heard that the second one is not that great at all.
I’m going to skip tagging on this one, since I’ve done a few tags lately. I tag anyone that totally should’ve done this tag already.
Loved reading your answers!

Awesome tag and great answers! I think the Lunar Chronicles would make an amazing movie franchise. And Percy definitely would thrive as a TV show! I’ve heard some great things about Thr Dark Descent…I’ll definitely have to move that one up on my TBR.

Every time I think about how the author joined Tova and Halvard together AT THE VERY END I just get even more put off by that book. They really worked better solo. I just…I was so not into it!
AS FOR WHICH BOOKS SHOULD GET A MOVIE FRANCHISE, I COULDN’T AGREE MORE WITH YOUR CHOICE!
I just listened to Cinder’s audiobook and omg it is still so good ❤

AGREEEEEEEEEEEEEEED. I would have added a full star if they didn’t get together, but NO. She did us dirty.
GIVE IT TO USSSSSSSSSSSSS. I’m convinced my friend to read the series, and I’m getting back in the TLC fandom again so hardddddddddd. I might need to do the Cinder audiobook for relive it all.
