are there any books you started this year that you need to finish?

MANDY: Into the Drowning Deep. I was so excited for this one…only to realize that it’s 17+ hours long as an audiobook! I’m actually making really decent time with it, but as of this moment, I still have 8+ hours to go. Please help.
SHA: Gentlement’s Guide to Vice and Virtue. I read thirty pages and then realized I wasn’t in the mood for it.

do you have an autumnal book to transition into the end of the year?

MANDY: His Hideous Heart edited by Dahlia Adler. It still brings the Halloween and fall feels, only to bring on the cold, which I’m currently living in.
SHA: No, I don’t usually let the seasons dictate what I read.

is there a new release you’re still waiting for?

MANDY: No! Oddly enough, every year, all of my books are out by, like, October. I rarely have any books that I’m eagerly waiting for – or even just really waiting for – in November and December.
SHA: Um, not really? There are a few new releases I have my hands on that I haven’t gotten to read yet though. Which I more an answer to the next question.

what are three books you want to read before the end of the year?

MANDY: The Raven’s Tale, Goddess in the Machine, and Stargazing.
SHA: The Beautiful, Fountains of Silence, and Thirteen Doorways.

is there a book you think could still shock you and become your favourite book of the year?

MANDY: Ummmmm. Tbh, not really? There have been some pretty high highs, and looking at the books I have on the lineup, I’m a little doubtful that they could usurp the greats I got this year.
SHA: Fountains of Silence has a good shot. I didn’t have any major highs this year. Not that nothing was good! I just know in three years time, maybe only two books I read this year will still be favourites. I didn’t read too many overwhelming, OMG books this year.

have you already started making reading plans for 2020?

MANDY: More readathons and totally finally finishing up all the physical books on my TBR.
SHA: Nope. I’ve decided to fully commit to mood reading.

  1. I love your tag answer – you’ve basically tag every book blogger out there 😂
Also I hope you love all of the books mentioned on here. I can’t believe I still haven’t read The Beautiful 😔 once I get reading again it’s definitely one of the first that I want to read, although not the very first as a review book turned up for me yesterday and I still have a few library reads. Also I’m so jealous that you have a copy of Goddess In The Machine already 😍
