The Identity Crisis Book Tag

This is certainly one of the most unique tags that I’ve ever done, and it combines a thing that I think most of us enjoy—quizzes and book characters! Today, we’re diving deeper to see which book characters from popular series might match our personalities!

Red Queen

Who am I?: Mare!

Where would we be without the Lightning Girl?! You hold tight to your principles and are always willing to sacrifice yourself to protect others. But your impulsiveness can sometimes get in your own way. Make sure you give yourself a break every once in a while!

MANDY: Ummmmm. Hmmm. I don’t know about my impulsive, since I literally overthink every single thing. And from my minimal knowledge of Red Queen, I don’t think Mare and I were quite the same people. But I mean. At least I have Lightning Powers???

SHA: Hi. Sha here. The formatting was super cuter when we put Mandy’s results right at the top and smushed mine at the bottom like an afterthought. Yup. That’s why I just get this tiny section to say I got Kilorn, whoever that is, since I did not read this book series. The dripping crowns of blood seem promising, I like the premise of death, destruction and blood. (in books)

Shadowhunters

Who am I?: You’re Jem Carstairs & Alec Lightwood!

You’re selfless yet guarded, protective and romantic. You value those around you more than yourself, and sometimes you need to be reminded to take a moment for yourself! You’re the friend that everyone loves to have around, even if you doubt it sometimes.

MANDY: Well, I totally could see Jem. I vibe it. I still haven’t made it through the full first book of City of Bones, so I don’t know Alec as well. That description sort of reminds me of myself and is at least a happy boost? I WILL TAKE IT.

SHA: Despite not reading the books I was totally reading to know who I got because I watched the movie AND the entire TV series (that I’m sad was cancelled). But then I got Henry Branwell and Anna Lightwood. Who even? Sorry if you dudes are super cool, but you didn’t make it into the screen adaptations soooo…

Throne of Glass

Who am I?: Nehemia & Chaol 

You hold strong to your morals, as there isn’t much that’s more important than that—is there? You are selfless (perhaps a bit too much so), and incomparably kind. Anyone who knows you should consider themselves lucky.

MANDY: I’m starting to notice a theme here. “Selfless” is, like, a word that keeps appearing. AND THEY ALL BRINGING THE BOOST UP. Also, like, I only read book 1 of this series, and Chaol was a little moody, broody, grunting boy, so I’m not quite sure. I don’t think I met Nehemia yet? I’m going to assume it’s a lethal combo.

SHA: Are you ready to see which characters I got in yet ANOTHER series I didn’t read? Nehemia and Chaol!! I matched with Mandy so yay for that I guess. Do these characters take over the kingdom? I would aspire for this if I was in a fantasy novel.

The Hunger Games

Who am I?: Effie Trinket

Well, you’re certainly no shrinking violet, are you? You stand out in a crowded room and like the finer things in life. But despite your flamboyant nature you are one of the kindest and loving people out there and a dear friend. You may be surrounded by sorrow from time to time but you’ll always be upbeat, because you’re you. Keep on smiling.

MANDY: AHAHAHA. Omg, I was NOT expected that. I thought I was going to be Bread Man. I can certainly appreciate Effie’s style, since most of my wardrobe is bright floral. I feel like I’m pretty upbeat, so I mean? Maybe? I can’t.

SHA: I just realized y’all might want to also know the characteristics I got along with the character… Oops! I kind read the name of the charrie (who I knew not at all) and jetted on to the next. But Hunger Games, I have read, so I’m excited to see who I match up with! Oh. Oh. LMAO, I got Katniss. Who else is shocked into silence?

Harry Potter

Who am I?: Ginny Weasley

People might underestimate you but you’re stronger than you appear. You’re stubborn, witty, adventurous, and always up for a challenge.

MANDY: Yet another series that I don’t know much about the characters. If it hasn’t been clear that I am a book hipster, here is the giant sign. I saw Ginny a few times in the movies, and she seemed okay? Description sounds decent.

SHA: I have watched all the movies and adore and plan to get to the books, like it’ll happen okay? BAHAHAHAHA. I got Dolores Umbridge. I can’t even. “I can be ruthless and bitchy when it comes to fulfilling your ambitions.” I mean.

A Court of Thorns and Roses

Who am I?: Lucien

Your soft heart, sharp tongue, and cynical nature bring laughter and fiery wit to every conversation. But that bravado simply hides the broken pieces of your soul, leftover from your family’s betrayal. You’ll need to figure out how to put yourelf back together, and stiffen your backbone, in time to save yourself and your friends.

MANDY: It’s because I picked the fox as my pet, right? Not so sure about the first part, though. Sounds more like Sha’s epic wit than mine, lol.

SHA: I’mma skip this one. But you be witty Mandy. And your soul is broken. JUST ACCEPT IT.

The Raven Cycle

Who am I?: Noah Czerny

You are very observant, and mostly keep to yourself. A little too naive and gullible of others, your willingness to trust leads to you getting hurt quite often. You are extremely kind and loyal to those you love.

MANDY: Ermmmmm, maybe? Willing to trust is a maybe. I follow X-Files’ advice: Trust No One. Also, like, there are too many names for The Raven Cycle. Idk which one Noah is and everyone likes him or not? MYSTERY.

SHA: Skipping.

Twilight

Who am I?: Jessica Stanley

The friend that everyone needs in their life, you must be Jessica! Sure, humans might not get to have as much fun as vampires, but you’ll show ’em how it’s done. You’re ever so curious, ever so friendly, and a little bit crazy — who wouldn’t want you as a BFF?

MANDY: LOL, I love how like every single quiz is like you’re a great friend – never the heroine, just a great sidekick. Which I knew I was meant to be in life. But Jessica is cool. I’ll take being the only non-vampire character besides Bella.

SHA: I got Jessica too, so I guess we are both the side-kicks. *shrugs*

Folk of the Air

Who am I?: Jude

You are strong and once you make a decision, you won’t back down. Your resilience is both admirable and terrifying at the same time.

MANDY: Lies, lol. But at least I have an intriguing hairstyle?

SHA: She had a hairstyle? What was intriguing about it? I don’t remember much more than her desire to TAKE DOWN THE EVIL FAE. Her hair was just not up on the list for me XD It seems I, also, am Jude. We are vibing, Mandy!

The Lunar Chronicles

Who am I?: Cress

A Lunar shell confined to a satellite to aid Queen Levana with hacking and surveillance of Earthen countries. She is a petite girl with very long honey blonde hair, a heart-shaped face, and freckles. She has a very overactive imagination, and nervous around people due to her lack of social interaction growing up.

MANDY: THIS IS THE ONLY RESULTS THAT TRULY MATTERED TO ME, AND GOALLLLLLLLS. Ugh, Cress, my love, and I am somehow her??? WE ARE ONE IN THE SAME. Does this mean we can share Thorne???

SHA: Last but certainly not least over here!! I am… LEVANA. SIDEKICK NO MORE!
