I first found this graphic novel over at Paper Procrastinators, and the art looked so super cute that I had to investigate!! When I read the summary, I was fully invested. This sounds like it’s going to be an amazingly witchy and paranormal read. After reading a few other reviews, it’s got amazing rep and more. I’ve never featured a graphic novel before here on Can’t Wait, but this just sounds so so so up my alley that I canNOT wait.

Um, mooncakes certainly sounds like something that Tiana might be cooking up in the kitchen. Plus, I think she would certainly see a kinship with Nova on the cover baking up something delicious – and the witchcraft/magic that is happening in this novel!

I read this book, and it did not disappoint. There is LGBTQ+ characters in it, and the graphics are so cute.
