The Dark Descent of Elizabeth Frankenstein

I’ll forgive myself for not praising this book more only because I finished it not a month ago. What a psychological mind-bender! Protagonist Elizabeth has constructed her entire life to suit the needs of the eccentric Victor Frankenstein. Dark Descent explores what happens when she must seek more independence or risk her very life.
The Center of the Universe

The Center of the Universe is a deep dive into a mother-daughter relationship that never had a chance to grow before stretching to a breaking point when GG Carter disappears. Everyone knows I love mother-daughter stories and this one is no exception.
Tash Hearts Tolstoy

Tash, Tash, Tash! Girl, I relate so hard to your organized, always need to have a plan, self. This book is not only greatly written, but features a strong cast of characters who go through what a lot of teens today are: the pressures of social media stardom, the need for acceptance, and coming into one’s own.
The Last Namsara

Fine, so I already talk about this one all the time. So what, it’s well due the praise! The Last Namsara has what every fantasy lover craves. Dragons, forbidden romance, and a girl with a sword she’s not afraid to use.
Deposing Nathan

Part of me doesn’t want to recommend a book that broke my heart into pieces so small I still don’t think I’ve fully reassembled it all, and another part of me is completely ready to ignore that first part. Protag Cameron undergoes a rough journey of self discover in Deposing Nathan.
I still need to read Elizabeth Sha and…write my post!! No idea what I will choose!

OMG, me neither. Finally getting Safire’s story! I was even complaining (mildly) in my Book 2 review that I wished we got more of Safire.

You’re the second person I’ve seen recommending Deposing Nathan today, even though I’ve never heard of it before this! Clearly I need to go check it out. Also YES Tash! ❤ Such a good book and such a relatable character.

I haven’t read anything else by Ormsbee, but she really impressed me with Tash. I’ll have to see if my library has Lucky Few!

Another fantastic post. I haven’t heard of a few of these – although I do think I’ve seen the cover to one of them before – but it sounds like you had an amazing experience with all of them. I haven’t seen much said about Dark Descent before but it’s on my TBR so I’m glad to hear you enjoyed it. Plus I must get on with The Last Namsara; it’s been sitting on my Kindle forever but sounds so good!!
