Top Five Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by the lovely Shanah @ Bionic Book Worm where bookworms get to chat about their top five books based on different topics.
“U” = The Undomestic Goddess by Sophie Kinsella

I like this book for so many reasons. Kinsella’s wit shines in The Undomestic Goddess. Even more though, Samantha goes through something I can fully relate to: she’s at the top of her job when one mistake leaves everything crashing around her and she questions if what she’s doing actually makes her happy. She turns the loss of her job into a positive when she takes up a more low stress job in the country and sees what life could be like when she gets to call the shots.
Being in Australia right now, after leaving Canada largely because I left uni *and everything felt like it was crashing around me* yeah, I totally relate. Sometimes you need to change your environment to reassess and see what you truly value.
“W” = The Wrath and the Dawn by Renee Ahdieh

Click cover for Goodreads info.
I surprisingly had a lot of “W”s on my “read” list. But there was no way I could pick anything other than an Ahdieh book. Wrath is one of my top faves, and it makes a lot of my lists (no doubt you’ve noticed). There are just too many things to love!
Quick storytime. I have a saved list of every single book I own (read and unread) on my computer. (Does anyone else do this?) At first it was to help Amanda and I co-ordinate buddy reads, so we could quickly match up books we both owned. Then I saw how helpful it was for any list-type posts. I didn’t have to get up and check my shelves to see what could fit a prompt.
For many people, I’m sure Goodreads works for this, but I only started Goodreads in mid-2018 and I’ve been reading/collecting books since at least 2007.
SO I scrolled through that entire list and um, nope. No books starting with V, X, Y, or Z. There could have been library books in the past, but they are neither on my saved list or my Goodreads. Which really makes me wonder… did anyone find some faves for those letters?

Haha! I love how you don’t have any favorites with those letters. They aren’t the easiest, that’s for sure. :’)
I just took a quick look at my Goodreads and..
W – Warcross and What To Say Next
Y – You, Me, Everything by Catherine Isaac.
That’s it. The last one isn’t really a favorite, but I remember really, really enjoying it.

I feel like that means you need to specifically find V, X, Y, and Z books to read!!

I think we all struggled with this one. Lol! Half of my list are on my TBR shelf and X is a book I found on Amazon that I probably will read but haven’t bought yet. x

I think the end of the alphabet is always super difficult when it comes time for bookish prompts. I bet if someone comes out with a book that starts with X, thousands of book lovers will buy and read it, just so they could have an answer for times like this!
