Let Me Hear a RhymevsThese Witches Don't Burn

LET ME HEAR A RHYME. Biggie Smalls was right. Things done changed. But that doesn’t mean that Quadir and Jarrell are okay letting their best friend Steph’s tracks lie forgotten in his bedroom after he’s killed—not when his beats could turn any Bed-Stuy corner into a celebration, not after years of having each other’s backs. RELEASE DATE: May 21 2019.

THESE WITCHES DON’T BURN. Hannah’s a witch, but not the kind you’re thinking of. She’s the real deal, an Elemental with the power to control fire, earth, water, and air. But even though she lives in Salem, Massachusetts, her magic is a secret she has to keep to herself. If she’s ever caught using it in front of a Reg (read: non-witch), she could lose it. For good. When evidence of dark magic begins to appear all over Salem, Hannah’s sure it’s the work of a deadly Blood Witch. The issue is, her coven is less than convinced, forcing Hannah to team up with the last person she wants to see: her ex, Veronica. RELEASE DATE: May 28 2019.

  1. My votes are going to Nocturna and These Witches Don’t Burn. I’ve had them both on my wishlist for so long that it’s weird to think they’re actually coming out.

  2. I’m currently fighting off a book slump by rereading. You know those sword fights in Parent Trap or whatever? Picture me fighting off the book slump like that… 😉 Except it’d be the invisible air. I can’t choose what to read next though.

    1. Hahaha, you paint it like such a hopeless picture. But rereading is a great way to get through a slump. At least you’re reading. I’m still getting back into the book world after my hiatus, trying to remember what books are out/coming-out, so don’t look at me for suggestions yet!

      1. LOL it is a hopeless cause for me in a short amount of time now. If I finish a book before break at work I can’t immediately jump to a new one. 😭

It’s ok! I did enjoy Second Chance Summer by Morgan Matson. I think that was the latest new to me book I enjoyed.
