The This or That Challenge

๐Ÿ“Œ Welcome to the third post for #MeetMeMarch, a week-long blog event created here at BPR to help bloggers introduce themselves to their audience (outside of bookish content) and make new friends! Each day from March 19 to March 22, we will upload a new #MMM post. If you’re tagged, recreate it! There is no deadline to share your posts.

For this challenge, you’ll be forced to choose between extremes: do you align more with one option, or the other? I always, always cop out and say the sneaky “well, I like both or both are equally terrible” but in this case that is not an option! I’m sticking to my guns and settling on either THIS or THAT for this #MMM challenge.

tag the creators @bookprincessreviews
share one thing you learned about the person who tagged you
pick either THIS or THAT for each prompt
tag at least two other bloggers you want to get to know better

MANDY: Okay, I’m already failing the game but both? Like, I took a personality quiz once that summed it perfectly. I lean more toward introvert, but there are definitely particular situations and times that I go full extrovert. It’s a mess. But since I have to abide by Sha’s rules: introvert.

SHA: Introvert. I for sure have moments when I’m out with friends and I feel so much energy. I’m like YAAAS, I could do this all day! But after a few hours, I’m drained and need to curl up alone for a few hours to recharge.

MANDY: I think work the perfect job. I think the lottery puts on wayyyyy too much pressure, and I would always be worried that I would be running out of money and UGH. I FEEL ANXIOUS JUST IMAGINING THIS. With the perfect job, I would feel fulfillment and enjoyment and still have time to do some reading (part of the job description) ๐Ÿ˜‰

SHA: Win the lottery. I feel like a weight would be off my shoulders if I won. (*imagines winning ten dollars*) Blogging full time. Reading all the new releases ahhhh. Enjoy life while I’m young and then pick up a job later on.

MANDY: Reading! I used to write, but it’s far more stressful and intense and aiowgnlraengrlea. Reading allows me to feel the enjoyment of jumping into new worlds and not have to worry about the right wording or spelling or is my character actually being true to the characterization I want?

SHA: Reading. I used to write (like Mandy, actually, it’s how we met) but I found I prefer experiencing new worlds to creating them. I still have my old Wattpad account but it’s “my old Wattpad account” for a reason.

MANDY: I could always go without, but my stomach does not agreeeeeee. So breakfast. But quick ones. Except when I’m at a hotel, and it somehow becomes my favorite meal???

SHA: Breakfast. I don’t always do a big thing but no one can say no to my crepes. And I’m a sucker for a good brunch menu.

MANDY: Marvel! I think it’s mainly because the DC recent movie adaptions have been horrible, and Marvel brings that humor.

SHA: Marvel. I’m not going to act like I read the comics because I haven’t. Marvel is winning it with the film adaptations though. What even was Justice League? *tries to wipe memory*

MANDY: TV shows! While I can love a good movie, I love the whole hour and done kind of thing. Plus, I can become more invested and spend more time with the characters that I loveeeeeeee.

SHA: TV shows!! I’m current with so many shows. No doubt I’ve loved many a movie, but I’m much faster to become invested in a new TV show.

MANDY: *blinks* Tbh, I could say I do love a good saladโ€”and I do, but like, french fries. I love me some french fries.

SHA: French ๐Ÿ‘ fries ๐Ÿ‘. Are you a little hungry but not too hungry? French fries. Want something that won’t get your hands dirty? French fries.

MANDY: Dyed hair is super super cool, but I definitely don’t think that I could ever pull it off. So natural!

SHA: Dyed. My hair is dark brown, and all my attempts have only resulted in hues that showed in bright lights and a very, very purple bathtub. (I don’t want to use bleach.) But I loove the look. I’ve done magenta, deep purple, and red so far.

MANDY: AHAHAHA LIKE THIS IS A REAL QUESTIONS. We all about that comfort right here. Leggingsssssssssssssssss. I make sure that I get some long long sweaters so I go to work in leggings.

SHA: Jeans are fancy clothes and we only wear fancy clothes for special occasions. It’s a leggings world, baby.

MANDY: Disney! Don’t hate me, y’all, but despite my loveeeeeeeeee for Disney, this girl ain’t a Pixar girl. IDK. Just give me all my princesses and lemme hide in the corner, kk??

SHA: Disney. But those Pixar shorts get me feeling the feeeeels. (Bao anyone?)

we tag the following people to do this #MMM post

Rendz | Colleen | Evelyn | Amanda | Norees | Crystal | Celine | Sam | Rhi

If you weren’t tagged, feel free to do this post anyway (and tag others to join in). If you were tagged and don’t want to do it, no pressure! If you don’t like being tagged in posts, let us know and we will avoid in the future.

Are YOU hoping to make more friends in the blogging community?

  2. Leggings are the absolute best! I’m all about that comfortable life. And I’ve only recently got into the breakfast life, since I used to wake up so early that I was too nauseous to eat. Thankfully, now my schedule allows me to get up later, and I’ve enjoyed trying out all the different breakfast foods.
