The Zodiac Challenge

πŸ“Œ Welcome to the first post for #MeetMeMarch, a week-long blog event created here at BPR to help bloggers introduce themselves to their audience (outside of bookish content) and make new friends! Each day from March 19 to March 22, we will upload a new #MMM post. If you’re tagged, recreate it! There is no deadline to share your posts.

Today, Mandy and I are going to find our true Disney Princess identities by relying on our zodiac signs. You know we are huge Disney fans and from what we are hearing, zodiac = YOUR TRUEST SELF. This all makes sense.

Will the results reflect us or be totally wrong? Let’s jump in and find out!

*this post is inspired by Natalia Taylor and Safiya Nygaard
*we don’t own these pictures. all from @zodiac_reality except princes.

RULES
tag the creators @bookprincessreviews
share one thing you learned about the person who tagged you
for each prompt say who matches your zodiac and if they fit your personality/likes/dislikes
tag at least two other bloggers you want to get to know better

MANDY: Aurora aka Sleeping Beauty! Okay, she is a childhood fave, so this is a goodddddddd one. At least, I think. I mean, she kind of has like 18 minutes of dialogue/screen time, but she did a lot with those…I think. She was always really kind and sweet and imaginative so…she cool beans. I’m just going with it.

SHA: Belle from Beauty & the Beast. I’m with Belle on adoring books (hello, massive library) although she has a huge appreciation for the classics which, um, I only kind of share? Classics are cool, but I love the diversity that’s more present in modern literature. ALSO, Belle’s quick ability to spot the tenderness in Beast is a skill I don’t have. I’m much more cautious of new people. (Especially furry, clawed, humanoid ones.)

MANDY: Helllllllllllllo Adam! Or Beast. But you’re Adam there! I find Beast quite a bit problematic, but I mean…I know I will be SET with that library. And castle…which aren’t the best traits to look for in a man. I’m settling on a major no for my fit for personality, since I would be fighting constantly and I don’t have time for Beast’s games. Also, I haven’t got a good enough feel on Adam through his two seconds of appearance.

SHA: Jim from Treasure Planet. The first thing I remember about Jim is his mother telling him over and over to help with the inn, to be careful, and guess what. He does NONE OF THAT. My partner in life needs to be adventurous, because I am woefully lacking in that gene and they would, hopefully, get me out the house more. But no thanks to someone like Jim who ignores any resemblance of safety. My anxiety would be through the roof.

πŸ“‹ Who’s My Best Friend? πŸ“‹

MANDY: Um, first off, I need to find these stuffed animals because they are CUTENESS. And second, I GOT PASCAL AND YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSss. He is one of the dream Disney sidekicks and despite my fear of reptiles, I am downnnnnnnnn for Pascal. He supports Rapunzel constantly, he does a little judging face when he knows things are about to go bad, and he gets spooked like me. Me and Pascal are one, for sure.

SHA: Flounder from The Little Mermaid. The best thing about Flounder is that in the second movie, he’s a dad with kids and still there to support Ariel. That is the best friend I dream of and honestly, as long as Mandy plans on having some children soon, I feel on track?

πŸ“‹ What’s My Greatest Weakness? πŸ“‹

MANDY: Jafar! He is, in fact, one of the most classic villains, and he does have an epic staff and robes. He’s a man trying to a) vigorously support the patriarchy and b) just get on with his scheming ways for money, glory, and power. I would be more than willing to try to take this societal weakness down.

SHA: Ursula from The Little Mermaid. Ursula’s strength was praying on Ariel when she was at her weakest. She drew Ariel to her cave and promised Ariel anything she wanted… knowing that she (Ursula) would always have the upper hand. That would for sure be my greatest weakness. When I’m feeling really low, I’m susceptible to any kind of dark threats/promises–even when I know it’s not good for me.

    1. Hmm. Maybe Cruella could represent the need to love and respect animals? She did have a very unhealthy obsession with kidnapping all the dalmatians in the city. Although I kind of doubt you share a similar problem haha.

    1. For Best Friend, the character is Gus Gus the mouse from Cinderella. (I actually had trouble recognizing him myself for a second.) And Love the character is Prince Naveen from The Princess and the Frog. Ahh, I love that movie, I would much rather the outgoing and friendly Naveen (though a little down on his luck) than my own Jim. Can we switch, lol.

  1. I’m a Cancer too so I got the same answers as Mandy! Not sure how I feel about being Aurora (haven’t seen that movie in years…) but I’m fine with just settling in the Beast’s library and never leaving πŸ˜€ And with Pascal there too, I’ll be set!

    1. Aurora does miss out on a whole lot of the action. And her fairy godmothers could do with a bit more training! Pascal would be a great sidekick, always making sure you make the smart decisions or else: Face of Judgement!

  2. This post is so much fun and I can’t wait to do it! Maybe when my boyfriend I are here, we can do this post together although I’m not sure how much fun it would be for him haha.

Thank you for tagging me! You two are wonderful as always ❀ ❀

  3. This sounds like so much fun! Thank you for tagging me! I’d definitely be Aurora when it comes to sleeping, although Belle fits my “awake” personality much more, Beast can be my sugar daddy although like Sha says, I need someone like Jim to get me outta the house. And lol, I like how in the third category, Sha decides Mandy’s going to have kids asap for her; that I guess is the definition of BFFs. πŸ˜‚ Great answers ladies! ❀️

    1. Aurora represents my complete need for sleep! Maybe we just need a compilation of all the princes in one, then we will finally find the perfect love interest? Although they might have a *bit* of a personality problem at that point.

Haha, best friends have to be able to do the most!!
