“This is an elite establishment, Brynn. I am very selective when it comes to the student body.”
“What exactly happens here?” I ask.
“Learning,” he says. “Growing. Camaraderie. Success.”
“You sound like a pamphlet.” — The Deceivers, 2019

I know many of you are thinking, ooh, a school for aspiring con artists! (Because, yes, that is exactly what Vale Hall is all about!). And maybe you want to join in on the fun and attend that kind of crazy devious plotting type of school for yourself, too. Mandy and I certainly do. But there is only one way to truly know if you are up to the task to attend. (Alright, maybe several ways. Protag Brynn certainly went about her entry test a loot different than Mandy and I are going to now.)

BUT for the purposes of this post, there is *clearly* only one true way to know if you can get into Vale Hall, and that is TWO TRUTHS AND A LIE. Except in our version, it’s going to be THREE lies and ONE truth.  Can these two princesses trick each other out? Can they fool … you?

SHA: The First Con

[1] I’ve been on an airplane ten times.
[2] I own sixteen pairs of shoes.
[3] I’ve owned (and adored) twelve pets.
[4] I’ve held three jobs at a time … while going to uni.

Which one is the truth? Drop your guess in the comments below!

MANDY guesses: Oh no. Oh no. They actually sound decently legit. TBH, I thought it was 3 trues and a lie! THIS IS TOO MUCH. I’m going with 4. Sha is quite the dedicated princess, and she is game to take on this.

MANDY: The Second Con

[1] I will only wear mismatched socks (for example: I will an Ariel sock on one foot and a King Triton sock on the other)
[2] I didn’t come up with the title of Book Princess Reviews. A family member did.
[3] I have never eaten an avocado.
[4] I have seen all 2000s Disney movies.

Which one is the truth? Drop your guess in the comments below!

SHA guesses: Mandy and I talked about avocadoes once. I asked her if you could straight up eat them, and she said no. With this kind of superior avocado knowledge, I’m going to guess she has eaten one? Mismatching socks seems like a lot of work. So. So. I’m saying #2 is the truth, and that someone in her fam came up with the BPR name!

Which are the lies and which are the truths? Drop your guesses in the comments below! The answers will be revealed on our Insta story (@bookprincessreviews) tonight and in response to your comments later in the week!

  1. Sha, I think you own more than 16 pairs of shoes, so my guess is that you’ve had twelve pets. Because pets are awesome. And Mandy, you make me want to say that you’ve seen all of the 2000s Disney movies but I suspect you haven’t. It’s not the 90’s, so my guess is that you’ve never eaten an avocado.

    1. YES, Kyera, you got me right. I totally own more than sixteen pairs of shoes, it’s hard to stop myself. I need some for every season, you know? Annnnnd how did Mandy convince everyone she has never eaten an avocado? She is a very suspicious-of-things person, so I would doubt her too. Actually though, someone else picked the Book Princess Reviews name!

      1. Well when your reason was that she told you that you can’t eat it alone, I found that suspicious. Because I’m pretty sure you can. That’s why I picked it.
