Four London Book Tag

0001-42-8

I’ve been eyeing this tag for a while now, and while I was never officially tagged, it fit with the blogging challenge this month and the graphics were too cool. It was just super long, so you will gradually notice Mandy sinking further and further into “BRAIN IS MUSH LET’S JUST REPEAT TLC OVER AND OVER AGAIN AND SEE IF ANYONE NOTICES.”

This tag was created by Arkon and Annie, and major props for coming up with such a cool tag!

grey-1

A book that you keep going back to, despite trying to quit it.

the queen underneath

The Queen Underneath. The book was kind of totally insane, but I honestly couldn’t stop reading it. So addicting in the weirdest way.

grey-2

A book / series that you’ve left behind forever.

top ten clues you're clueless

The oldest book on my TBR list on Goodreads is this book Top Ten Clues You’re Clueless. It seems like an adorable little cheesy goodness book, but since I don’t own it, I keep forgetting about it and it’s not super good enough sounding for me to seek it out right away. That’s why it’s been on there for 3 years D:

grey-3

A majorly bad book / series with just one beautiful spark

Um, um, um, IDK. Usually, if it’s a bad series, I stop after book 1? If it’s a bad book, I usually try to find just one good part of it and talk about it in the review.

red-1

A book / series that you feel blessed to have read. Aven.

Psssssssssst…the Lunar Chronicles. Forever heart eyes.

red-2

A book that changes every time you read it.

OH NO OH NO OH NO. I don’t think it does?? The only time that I’ve read book and it changed was for the worst. Example: my old childhood love for My Soul to Take ended up being more of a nightmare than a dream.

red-3

A fictional world that makes you feel love and fear. Antari.

Wow, these prompts sure make you think – and you know, Mandy, definitely not a thinker. Probably TLC world? I mean, it’s such a beautiful world, but there is a plague, crazy Lunar queens, and hybrid wolf-men. But Luna sounds beautiful?

white-1

Book / series that started off meh, but ended up being great!

Well, I straight up DNF’ed A Court of Roses and Thorns, and the second book ended up being an elusive Mandy favorite? Tell me in what world does that happen for Mandy, so we’re giving all the props to this series.

white-2

A book / series that you would kill for.

city of ghosts

Well, to be completely honest, I would not kill anyone for a book, but I might gently glare someone down for City of Ghosts by Victoria Schwab.

white-3.png

The world is dying. Save one book.

Six of Crowssssssssssssss. Because they can see the majesticness of how a crew of misfits can stand together and take on some nasty people and tough challenges. And waffles. They can see the beauty of waffles.

black-1

Name a book / series that has utterly consumed you.

Lol, TLC TLC TLC.

black-2

A book / series that you refuse to open.

the raven boys

I’m still scared, okay??? SO MUCH HYPE.

black-3

Marissa Meyer. Simone St. James. Leigh Bardugo. Surprisingly not as many as I thought. OOPS.

There were bonus questions, but I died out. Also, since I wasn’t tagged, I decided not to tag anyone else. But feel free to tag yourself if you love yourself some Shades of Magic trio!

UN Right #6

6. You Have Rights No Matter Where You Go. I am a person just like you!

If you have read the Shades of Magic series, you certainly get where this is going. Kell gets his rights trampled by a very certain London(s). He gets his right taken away after jumping from a few Londons to other Londons. I can’t say to much without spoilers, but it was wrong and poor baby Kell and JUST THE FEELS. Actually, I feel like a lot of people have this right taken away from them in this series.

What do you think? What are some of your answers to this? Do you love the Shades of Magic series? Let’s discuss in the comments below!

  1. OMG! I absolutely adored this tag! And I totally can see what you mean about the ACOTAR series! Also, I definitely need to pick up ADSOM series, so I’ll do my own tag sometime during the summer!

  2. I’m with you on City of Ghosts. I don’t read much Middle Grade but as it’s by VE Schwab, I need it in my life! As someone who was also overwhelmed by the hype of The Raven Cycle, I understand you not wanting to pick it up. I finally relented when The Raven King came out and I have to say I wasn’t blown away by it. I liked the general story and the characters but I didn’t care about it enough to love it as much as everyone else. I think it is certainly overhyped.

    1. Yessssssssssssss! I totally agree. I’m not the biggest middle grade fan, but I just know she’s going to rock it. But okay, good to know. I’ll go into it with that expectations. I think I’m going to end up feeling the same way with it.

      1. It could have just been me though. I tried reading another Maggie Stiefvater book before diving into the Raven Cycle (I think it was The Scorpio Races) and I wasn’t the biggest fan of that either.

  3. Terrific tag! I haven’t read the Shades of Magic series yet (like you and the Raven Cycle, I’m avoiding the hype for now lol), but I enjoyed reading all your answers! Particularly the SoC one: waffles. Yes, waffles are good. 😉

    1. Yes! I avoided the series for such a long time as well. It was one of the few that did live up somewhat in the hype for me. 😀 But I hope you do like them if the hype fear does leave you. 😉 But yessssssssss. I can never be hungry with that book or else I will just forever want waffles.
