I would love to thank Ash @ The Infinite Library for tagging me for this tag…will about seven months ago. Total failure, but know what’s not a failure? THIS TAG. She created such a fantastic tag full of fun prompts with a creative take on this lovely lovely book series. Check out her original post here, and definitely take a peek at the rest of her blog!

The Thief
KAZ BREKKER: A LAYERED OR COMPLEX CHARACTER
The first name to come to mind was Hideo from Warcross. I don’t even know why. He just always had this mysterious air to him, and you just know there are these layers of intense angst and feels. He gets extremely complicated as it goes on.
The Wraith
INEJ GHAFA: A BOOK WITH A TWIST YOU DIDN’T SEE COMING
By a Charm and A Curse by Jamie Questell really brought a pretty big twist early on that I totally didn’t see coming. It totally took me surprise and I was like, oh dear.
The Sharpshooter
JESPER FAHEY: AN AUTHOR THAT NEVER MISSES THE MARK
Despite my intense burning love for Marissa Meyer and Leigh Bardugo, I have had a few issues with some of their newer work and definitely Bardugo’s previous work besides this series. Simone St. James has yet to disappoint me with her adult ghostie novels.
The Heartrender
NINA ZENIK: A BOOK THAT BROKE YOUR HEART OR GAVE YOU ALL THE FEELS
I feel like quite a few people are like, really, Mandy, this was a golden opportunity to use Cress and you did not??? I AGREE. But to be honest, this book was me just being a whole feely mess because all all the ships and totally epic ship moments that happened in it – especially between my dear lovely Cresswell.
The Convict
MATTHIAS HELVAR: A CHARACTER CAUGHT BETWEEN TWO WORLDS
I would definitely say both Jason and Percy from The Heroes of Olympus series are definitely caught between two worlds – two mythological worlds. They definitely seem to be struggling – and me too sometimes because thinking is hard.
The Explosives Expert
WYLAN VAN ECK: A BOOK THAT WENT OUT WITH A BANG OR A CLIFF-HANGER
Can I use Warcross again? No? I’ll go with ACOMAF. I certainly didn’t expect that ending and then we had to wait that long for it to be delivered on?? THE FEELS.
Tag…you’re it??
Kyera @ Kyera’s Library / Rendz @ Reading With Rendz / icebreaker694 / Steph @ Steph Into A Book World
And anyone else that is feeling it! Please, if you enjoy doing tags, please let me know because I’m having such mind blanks on who likes to be tagged! And I have a bunch of tags to do and I feel bad if I tag a bunch of the same people over and over again. XD
Better late than never, Mandy haha! 😜 Thanks so much for doing the tag and I’m so glad you enjoyed it. Definitely a strong reminder for me to keep going with the Lunar Chronicles and read Cress, and to finally tackle Warcross! 😊

Yes! IT is definitely a fun one. And yesssssssss. Winter is such a daunting book since it is so huge, but it is definitely worth it to see it all end.

THANK YOU FOR TAGGING ME MANDY, I DIDN’T EVEN KNOW THIS EXISTED UNTIL NOW!!! I’M SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You had some great answers! I totally agree with using Winter. I mean I ADORE Cress, but those Cresswell moments in Winter (I’m looking at you Chapter 71) I LIVE for them!

Luv this tag!! Six of crows was one of my top series last year! It was just SO amazing!! Loved your answers! Totally agree about ACOMAF being an unbelievable cliff hanger (waiting for the third book was pure agony!) and any opportunity to mention the Lunar chronicles is a good opportunity! (cress and throne for life! plus all the feels in that book!!) If you ever at a blank for who to tag I love tag posts so feel free to hit me up! Great post 🙂

Yes! I was scared with all the hype with the series but it ended up working out so great to be a favorite. But thank you! And I just remembered sitting there going, what am I going to do with this ending??? Did you read it a little bit later on or right when it came out? But yessssssssssssssssssssssssss. THEY GET ME EVERY TIME. But okay, perfect! I’ll definitely be adding your name in quite often then. 😉 Thanks so much, Jamie! ❤

Hideo definitely is a very interesting, layered character. I look forward to see more of him in the next book. I think he has a lot of potential for a more psychological take on the series.

YES. I super agree. I feel like she just gave surface level in the first book, and I think that Lu is going to do such an interesting job with the psychology for book two. Fingers crossed at least.

That’s what I would do. Give out the basic necessary info in the first book, and then get DEEP in the second one. I really hope she gives him the psychological depth he deserves; he’s such a complex character.

Yessssss! I feel like I have heard with some of her other ones she does and she attempted it with Batman, so I have faith!!

I sure hope so! (I’ve heard that about her Young Elites series, which is why I am so tempted to try them out.)

Yes! I tried it out on audiobook, but I don’t think it was the right format. It did seem to have some psychological overtones from what I read a bit.

That makes sense. I haven’t read much yet. But from what I saw, it seemed pretty psychological.

Yes! Fingers crossed since we need more of them out there. 😉
