I’m honestly not sure why I waited so long to do this tag. I love me some cookies – whether it is gobbling it down like the Cookie Monster or baking it off like I’m on the Great British Baking Show. Therefore, I should have done the cookie book tag, like, a million years ago…which was also when I was tagged for this. OOPS. Thanks so much to Wonderful Words 101 for tagging me. She loves her some Alice, and her blog is wonderful. Check out her original post here, and the rest of the blog while you are at it!
The Rules (I’ll be copying these from the post tagged to me):
- In addition to linking back to the person who tagged you, it would be awesome if you link back to Nicole’s original post!
- Pick a book that corresponds to the cookie’s ‘theme’.
- Have fun!
- Tag 1-3 people.
Chocolate Chip: A Classic Book That You Love or Really Enjoyed
The one and only classic I truly have ever loved is The Importance of Being Earnest! Love this book dearly, and it’s just so hilarious.
Thin Mints: A Fandom That You Really Want to ‘Join’ AND/OR a Hyped-Up Book You Want To Read
Hmmmm…that’s a good question. The Raven Cycle fandom is always so interesting, and I know so many of the bloggers I love and know are part of it, so perhaps them? I’m always so hesitant about them, though.
Shortbread: An Author You Can’t Get Enough Of
Marissa Meyerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
Samoas/ Caramel DeLites: An Emotional Rollercoaster
Crooked Kingdom. You never know what is going to happen and who is safe and not safe AND IT IS JUST INTENSE.
Oreos: A Book Whose Cover Was Better Than The Story OR Vice Versa, Where The Story Was Better Than Its Cover
There’s Someone Inside Your House. I much prefer the cover than the actual material in the book…which is the only reason I haven’t donated yet.
Tagalongs/ Peanut Butter Patties: A Book That Wasn’t What You Expected
For the longest time, I thought Haven was about this weird futuristic Eastern European town, but instead, it was a small town in Texas??? I have no clue where I got that, but it totally messed up my reading of this book for a tiny bit. Ended up being so much better once I got the weirdness out the of way.
Snickerdoodles: A Book You May Never Stop Rereading/ Loving
The Summer I Became a Nerd! So much love for this adorable little book.
Oatmeal Raisin: An Awful Surprise
This book seemed like a nice little contemporary book where they go off on a quirky scavenger hunt – but really, they’re awkwardly handcuffed together, have super weird realizations about their life at odd times (as they break into the dude’s foreclosed house, they both realize they’re homeless???), and there is this weird potential mobster named Big Joe. Kind of an awful surprise.
Tag…you’re it??
Hahaha Mandy no I don’t have any of your answers. But instead of marissa Meyer I would choose Amy Harmon 😉

Aaaww I love me some cookies as well!
Marissa Meyer, always, and it warms my heart how much you love The Summer I Became a Nerd ❤️
I have to say I’m not surprised Stephanie Perkins is not that great at writing thrillers… She should pretty much stick to what she knows, I think. I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy her new book
Awesome answers, Mandy!

And yessssssssssssss. It’s just so adorable that I can’t dela, Sophie, and must bring up my feels every time I possibly can. 😉
And I do agree. I thought I would give it a shot, but she just wanted to put some contemporary love in there that didn’t work?
Thanks so much, Sophie!!

Hmm that’s a shame… Everyone knows romance is a huge part of any book, and may even ruin it for us
At least in my opinion. It’s strange that Perkins, supposedly one of the contemporary romance queens, didn’t get that right here!
Anyway, better luck next time, Mandy 🙂

I know! I thought for sure that I would have at least really enjoyed the romance in the book, but Perkins still didn’t excel at that. I don’t know – it just seemed like it was trying way too hard to be something it didn’t and it just fell apart in the stuff that it should be.
And thanks, Sophie!! ❤

I don’t think there are any gluten free cookies that are actually good, so let’s just pretend I can eat them and say… snickerdoodle?

SHE IS THE GREATEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
CROOKED KINGDOM STILL KILLS ME WHEN I THINK ABOUT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great answers Mandy! I love cookies, but my faves would have to either be sugar cookies or very soft and chewy chocolate chip!

Ooooooh super soft and chewy chocolate chips are the best. I hate it when it’s hard. D: I’m with you! And thankies, Rendz!!

Related Story: My school cafeteria sold chocolate chip cookies and they were A++++ when they were fresh from the oven but after sitting out exposed to the elements they got really hard. Everyone in the caf would be stalking the oven through the kitchen windows to see if the fresh cookies had been taken out yet, then it would be a race to buy fresh cookies XD
