Justice League Movie Book Tag

I would like to thank the wonderful Angelica and Rosie over @ The Book Cover Girls for tagging me for this! I figured since the Justice League movie is coming out this week…or was it last week??? I DON’T EVEN KNOW. It’s coming out real soon, though, and I figured it would be the perfect time to do this tag. These ladies did such a good job creating it, and the prompts were a lotttttt of fun. Make sure you check out their blog, because it’s always fun of great reviews and more tags like this!

The Rules:

  • Copy these rules onto your post
  • Mention creators of the tag: Angelica and Rosie @TheBookCoverGirls and link to the original post
  • Mention and thank the person who tagged you and link to their post
  • Answer all the questions

  • Have fun with it!

Batman: You favorite antihero

Well, obviously, Kaz Brekker from Six of Crows is the clear winner, but I wanted to go with something a little different. Having just finished Renegades by Marissa Meyer, though, I was in love with a lot of the Anarchists. They were a lot of fun, and they were definitely antiheroes for sureeeeeeeeeee.

Aquaman: A book or character that turned out to be better than you expected (because let’s be real, we did not expect Khal Drogo to make Aquaman cool)

Warcross! I will admit that I knew Marie Lu would be a great author since she is beloved by many, but I didn’t realize just how much I would seriously enjoy this book. I figured it would just be okay, but it turned out so much better than I ever expected.

Wonder Woman: Most badass female character (not necessarily in a physical sense)

Ismae from Grave Mercy, Alosa from Daughter of the Pirate King, and any of the ladies from SOC and TLC. I CAN’T DECIDE BECAUSE THEY ARE JUST ALL AMAZING. Whether it’s physical strength or mental and emotional, these ladies have some serious power.

Cyborg: Favorite science fiction novel

In recent years, I’ve had such struggles with sci-fi novels. I totally thought I enjoyed them because of The Lunar Chronicles, but apparently I’m really not super into it as much as I thought. I apparently really need a fairytale background to get into my sci-fi. One of the ones I did really enjoy without that fairytale retelling aspect was Gemina by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff. I sooooo loved the ship in that one, Marie Lu’s drawings, and the actionnnnn. So good!

The Flash: A book you sped through

22581783_755375864662600_7031734926756020224_n(1)

I’m apparently not speeding a lot of books recently and that’s kind of killing me?? The last book I sped through super intensely was Little Monsters by Kara Thomas. I just had to know what was going on and what really happened to the best friend!

Superman: Saddest character death (although we all know there’s no way Superman is going to stay dead)

**If you do give a spoiler, please be mindful and clearly label the question with a SPOILER ALERT**

      1. I’m reading it now. I’m nearly done. The suspense is killing me. I had to go someplace today and I’m sad because I couldn’t take it and oh my gosh I need to read more. This is ridiculously addicting and I have no idea who the killer is. This is a first.

      2. Oh no! It’s so rough when you have to go somewhere and can’t bring it with you. But I KNOW. I had so many guesses and I kept going back and forth and back and forth and I couldn’t figure it out. I’m wishing you luck that you will get it done soon. 😉

      3. Yep. It was too big for my purse. But once I got home I read more of it. I JUST FOUND OUT WHO THE KILLER IS, WHAT THE HECK. I DIDN’T SEE THAT COMING. But there’s more pages, more details…geez, this is dark. I’m surprised this is YA.

      4. I super agree with you Kate about its darkness. I really am quite surprised that it fell directly in YA. I would have thought that it would have been aimed more for a NA or adult story. It was good, but you’re quite right. And I’m so glad you ended up liking it!!

      1. I’m debating if I really need to see it in the theatres… there are so many other things I should be spending my money on… like a book.

  2. So so so excited for the Justice League movie. Basically, I’m just ready to see Wonder Woman haha. Completely agree with what you said about Warcross. It started off slow for me, but once it picked up, I couldn’t put it down.

  3. I’m glad you did the tag! I always love reading people’s answers! I haven’t gotten very far in my reading of Renegades but I’m like the heroes and antihéroe sand villains so far. And I still haven’t read Gemina. I’ve owned it for over a year now and still it’s unopened on my shelf!
