(Okay, I’m currently a little MIA because real life things and wellllllllllllllllllll, I’m so on the bandwagon and I’m in deep with the Stranger Things 2 binge. IT’S JUST SO GOOD. I AM CRYING. I LOVE THOSE LITTLE BABIES. Everything should be back to normal on Monday. 😉 But for now, *in hiding*)
DO YOU KNOW HOW LONG I HAVE BEEN WAITING TO BE TAGGED FOR THIS? Of course, I knew this was floating around, but my bookish butt has never had the pleasure of being tagged for it. Actually, I’ve only been tagged for one Princess book tag, and…I’m now thinking about how I need to binge tag myself and do a bunch of Princess tags because not doing them is a Princess blog crime! Anyway, I would like to thank From Belle’s Library for finally, finally making my dream come true! Definitely make sure to check out her blog, because I mean…Belle’s Library. 😉
P. S. It was created by Kirsty and the Cat Read!
Tale as Old as Time: A popular theme, trope, or setting you will never get bored of reading.
Nerdy contemporaries. It started off with just one book that I thought was a random one-off, The Summer I Became a Nerd, but it’s become a little subset in YA THAT MANDY LIVES FOR. Give me adorable, nerdy things and you will literally have alllllllllllllllllll my money.
Belle: A book you bought for its beautiful cover that’s just as beautiful on the inside too.
Eliza and Her Monsters! I totally bought this book because I was obsessed with that cover, and it turned out to be SO good. I was not prepared for that, since I was expecting only like a four crown read or something.
Beast: A book that you didn’t expect much from but pleasantly surprised you.
Warcross by Marie Lu! I kind of just bought it because a lot of my sage, blogging gurus really enjoyed it and I mean, signed copy, but I so didn’t think I would really really enjoy it, but I found myself totally addicted to it and giving it such an easy five crowns.
Gaston: A book everyone loves that you don’t.
Well, how much time do we have? I tend to be Captain Unpopular Opinion quite often. Name a hyped book, and I’m probably in the minority with not being pleased with it. STUPID BOOK HIPSTER ME CAN’T ENJOY THE POPULAR THINGS.
Lefou- A loyal sidekick you can’t help but love more than their counterpart.
Oy. I’m not sure if I love them more than their counterpart, but I do really enjoy some sidekicks. One of my favorites is Sage from Geekerella!
Mrs. Potts, Chip, Lumiere, and Cogsworth: A book that helped you through a difficult time or taught you something valuable.
Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Um. Huh. That’s always hard. I read mostly for enjoyment and I tend to shy away from the really impactful, deep books that would probably change my life. (mostly due to the fact I hide from messy feelings??) Anyway, I don’t think I’ve gotten to a book that has drastically taught me something valuable or really helped me through a tough time.
Something There: A book or series you weren’t into at first but picked up towards the end.
Well, you can definitely say that I wasn’t into the A Court of Thorns and Roses series at first since I DNF’d the first book and it took me a month to try it again. I really, really ended up loving the second book, despite having big issues with the first one.
Be Our Guest: A fictional character you’d love to have over for dinner.
THORNE. MY BABY, CARSWELL THORNE. And we can sing this song together. ❤ So many heart eyes.
Oh dear. No SOC references? I’m losing touch.
Tag…you’re it!
I feel like everyone I know has done this tag? I know some people clearly haven’t, but I can’t quite remember right now, and I don’t want to end up tagging someone twice. SO, if you love Belle and book tags, please feel free to tag yourself, because I WOULD SO LOVE TO SEE YOUR ANSWERSSSSSSSSSSS. ❤
Haha I will do thisss deff! I love your answers, mostly because I haven’t read any life-changing books either, I don’t want to deal with messy feelings, I ALMOST…nearly always hate popular books AND Man, I need to read Lunar Chronicles!!!

Perfect tag for you! We are also bingeing Stranger Things this weekend, and I’m loving it! Hopefully we’ll finish it tonight, because this week is going to be crazy. Did you finish?!

Oh man, I need to actually get around to these things but I’ve been NaNoWriMo-ing and 100% slacking on the blog front.

Oooooooh, well, NaNoWriMo is kind of all consuming, so I mean, so understandable. How is it going?

I haven’t started today yet, since I just got home but for the first week I have 12,409 words so far… 😳😱

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Omigosh, that is AMAZING. So much congrats, Kyera!! Do you have it planned out or are you just going for it?

I am apparently what they call a plantser, not quite pantser or plotter. I basically had my world and my character is completely flushed out, but wasn’t totally sure where was going with my plot. In the last few days I sort of figured out a few things and just some story points clicked for me.

Oooooh, that’s a good mix of things. But that seems to be working out great, so if it works, it’s good. 😀 But so glad that the story points are working out! 😀

I took my break when I got it at work and read the first 4 or 5 chapters? So not too far into it yet, but Adrian is my favourite so far.

Oooooooh, yayyyyyyyyyyyy. I cannot wait to see what you end up thinking of it. I’m trying to make a dent in it. Adrian is quite interesting and I love how unique his power is.

Yeah, when I was reading their names and descriptions at the beginning I said bringing drawings and artwork to life?! Sign me up! Except.. I’d need to be better at drawing. Gee that would be terrible. Have a middle-school quality/style drawing come to life. I’d be embarrassed into retirement.

Oh my gosh you are too sweet!! I’m so happy you did the tag, and I loved reading your responses! I COMPLETELY agree with you about A Court of Thorns and Roses– I couldn’t get into the first book but the next ones completely captivated me!

Awh, thanks so much! And yessssssssssss! I thought I was losing it when I didn’t like ACOTAR and literally everyone else did with the series, but that second book totally blew my socks off. SO GOOD.
