Wesley James Ruined My Life by Jennifer Honeybourn
Sixteen-year-old Quinn Hardwick’s having a rough summer. Her beloved grandmother has been put into a home, her dad’s gambling addiction has flared back up and now her worst enemy is back in town: Wesley James, former childhood friend—until he ruined her life, that is.
So when Wesley is hired to work with her at Tudor Tymes, a medieval England themed restaurant, the last thing Quinn’s going to do is forgive and forget. She’s determined to remove him from her life and even the score all at once—by getting him fired.
But getting rid of Wesley isn’t as easy as she’d hoped. When Quinn finds herself falling for him, she has to decide what she wants more: to get even, or to just get over it.
My all time favorite book setting is theme parks/themed places. Perhaps it could have been Disney influenced? Oh, I don’t know. 😉 But a medieval themed restaurant isn’t quite a Disneyland, but it still sounds epiccccccccc. I mean, I can imagine all the fun that there will be: mead spills, jousting, crazy costumes, thou’s and thee’s. I once went to a medieval banquet and while I ate, like, literally nothing and made the 😛 face to mead, but it was still quite amusing.
So, um, brilliant setting…and HATERS-TO-LOVERS TROPE. I love a good trope, and this book literally sounds like it is going to be full of adorable, swoony moments and SO. MUCH. CUTENESS. *squealing already*
Only a month more before this book comes out, and I can’t wait! It looks like it is going to be so much fun, and I’m dying for another cheesy, adorable read.
Check it out here!
This sounds wonderful! I’ve been to one of those medieval restaurants before, it was super fun but it was a school field trip so I wasn’t allowed to buy a sword (plus I wasn’t 18, but a chaperone was willing to get it for me). I was so sad.

Ahahahahahaha, omigosh, that is sad, Kyera. That would have been a perfect way to end the trip. That was one evil school. You needed to be authentic, right? 😉

Obviously! Who doesn’t need an entire collection of swords? I know I do.

EVERYONE DOES. I mean, as long as they are aware of the epicness of swords. I mean, it would be brilliant accessories in the cosplaying you do as well. So obviously needed.

Wait, there are poor souls in the world unaware of the epicness of swords? It is now my life’s mission to spread the word! From katanas to broadswords, cutlasses to seraph blades – you must know the wonders of sharp pointy objects, world!

Yessssssssssss. My friend went without me last year, and I was totally jealous. Do you dress up and such or just go to enjoy?

Oh, I dress up! I never miss the chance to wear clothes from different time periods. It’s tons of fun.

Ahahahah, yes, I’m sure. XD Overdramatic MCs are the best – they always end up in hilarious situations, though.
And yes! 😀

Yes! Same! I know it used to be a lot more popular, but it seems that it’s gone away. But the trope is always fun. 🙂
