Oh, Memorial Day weekend always exhausts me since as many Americans know, that extra day off means, you try to squeeze literally everything you can and need to do into it so you can feel accomplished. Me = half asleep/half unconscious while writing this, so please, ignore anything that does not make sense. I’m blaming it on the holiday. But it’s Mondayyyyyyyyyyyy, and that means another glorious meme!
#ARCstravaganza is hosted by the wonderful ladies of YA and Wine – Krysti and Sarah – where each week, we showcase one of the best perks of being a book blogger – those glorious ARCs – on our blogs, Instagrams, or both! And when you participate? You’ll be entered to win a YA ARC each month! How cool is that? Find out more about it here!
I present this week’s feature ARC without further ado…
Sasquatch, Love, and Other Imaginary Things by Betsy Aldredge & Carrie DuBois-Shaw
Pride and Prejudice meets Animal Planet’s Finding Bigfoot in this humorous and heartfelt debut about a loving, quirky family on the hunt for the mythical Sasquatch.
Hunting for monsters was never so awkward.
It’s bad enough that Samantha’s parents, charter members of the Northern Ohio Bigfoot Society, have dragged their daughter around forever, hunting for yetis. But now they’re doing it on national TV, and worse, in front of an aristocratic prep-school crew including a boy who disdains Samantha’s family.
But when he scorns her humble Ohio roots, she becomes determined to take him down. As they go to war, their friction and attraction almost distract them from the hint that Sasquatch may actually be out there somewhere…
I would like to thank the amazing, fabulous, amazingly fabulous Elizabeth over @ Bedazzled Booklover (it’s full of books and sparkles, and I mean, how epic is that?), because without her amazing help, there would not be this book sitting on my floor with my howling Bigfoot stuffed animal and glorious Finding Bigfoot DVD (yeah, I’m in that deep). We fangirled over this book together – her over the Pride and Prejudice love. Me…over the Bigfoot aspects (as you can so clearly see from the picture above). Um, FINDING BIGFOOT FOR YA. FINDING BIGFOOTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT. *THE SQUEALS WILL NEVER END*
So when the lovely opportunity came up (aka Elizabeth sweetly messaged me), MY HEART. THE FEELS. I HAVEN’T STOPPED INTERNAL SCREAMING SINCE THE DAY THIS ARRIVED.
This isn’t out until August, but there is no way that this isn’t getting read sooner. Like, maybe today. XD It is a holiday, right?
Okay, I’m going to try and get some book chill right now. Wish me luck?
But once again, thank you so much, Elizabeth, for all of your help! ❤ And don’t forget to check out her amazing blog here! It’s full of such YA fun including reviews, tags, and other goodness. She also just started on Booktube this year, so double yay!!
I LOVE this! And that picture is fantastic! I’m going to read this one in August and I’m super excited. It was definitely your glowing review that sold me on it! Thanks for participating again, lovely! ❤️❤️❤️

That is so awesome that you are a Bigfoot nerd! I totally love that. There is a lot of Bigfoot legends out here in UT with the mountains and stuff. I know so many people who swear they’ve seen him! 🙂 And yay!!!

Yet another reason to visit UT, Krysti. I can go visit the lovely bookshop and talk with Bigfoot…witnesses, that is the word I was looking for. I kept thinking see-ers, and I’m like, that is not a word. But that is so epic. 😀

Exactly! We can even go Bigfoot hunting! I have no idea how to do that, but it sounds fun! 😀

Ahahahaha, I think we basically just walk around the woods, knock trees with sticks, and make random calls (that do consist of screaming kind of thing)? At least, this is what Finding Bigfoot has taught me…although they have yet to catch a Sasquatch so maybe not?

Hahaha! I’m so on board for this. We can take our copies of the book too. It deserves to go on an adventure. 🙂

Ahahahaha, omigosh, yes. XD We’ll take pictures of it in the breaks between hunting…although they probably turn out so well because I’m not sure if Bigfoot likes flash. XD

Will get a picture of the ACTUAL Bigfoot with the book. LOL. 🙂

Ooooooh, yesssss. I’ll have to bring the stuffed animal too. One hand he will hold the book and the other will hold the mini bigfoot. XD

Ahahaha, it would! XD Ahahaha, you’ll have to think of a perfect wine to pair with a Bigfoot sighting and I’ll have to come up with the perfect Princess rating. XD

Oh, dear. I can just see us in the wilderness drinking wine, looking for Bigfoot, and taking Bookstagram pics. That actually sounds like the best time ever. LOL 😀

As a guy who wrote a book about people wanting to find the Lochness Monster, this interests me very much! A reason to look forward to August.
