The Oh-Wait-When-Did-That-Get-On-My-TBR-List Post

Do you ever go through your TBR (especially on Goodreads) and find yourself going, oh, wait, THAT’S on my TBR? Since when? And what even is it about??? Recently, I found two books that sounded SO intriguing to me while going through some blogs and people being excited about them, and I’m like, OMG, YES, I MUST RUSH OVER AND ADD THEM…only to find out that I’ve had them sitting on a shelf since summer of 2016. o.o Here are four books that I found in my 2017 mid through late year shelves that I found through accidental scans that I literally had no clue I had wanted to read. XD

I saw this on someone’s Twitter feed a few weeks ago, and I was like oh, eh, I’m not quite captivated by the hazy and faraway picture. I don’t think I ever wanted to read that…only to accidentally find it when I was doing this post. Oops? I could have been in a giveaway for that too. D: Well, drats. But I mean, doesn’t that sound super interesting? GHOSTS. COOL TOWN NAMES. A SARCASTIC BOY. Oh, I’m loving it already. How could I ever forget you, June, especially since there are a million of you?

This was on a lot of blogs a few weeks back, and each time I saw it on another blog I followed, I got even more excited about it. I just had to get over to Goodreads to add it…only to realize that I totally had it on since forever ago. BUT LOOK AT HOW EPIC IT LOOKS. NIGHT WITCHES AKA FIERCE LADY PILOTS. IN WWII. Oh, sigh, I’m so sold. Um, can October get here sooner?

Now is Everything by Amy Giles

I literally had no clue what this book was about let alone that it even existed until I created this post. I’m not sure how or where I found it – probably in a half asleep Goodreads adding binge – and it doesn’t even really sound like a book I would have added without some sort of push from something. I’m not quite sure, but it has a bundle of five star reviews so far, and I do think it has potential to be an intriguing mental health book. But seriously, I am concerned that mysterious books like this just randomly appear in the TBR…but also kind of thankful? XD

The Wood by Chelsea Bobulski

She soon finds a young man traveling in the wood named Henry who knows more than he should. He believes if they can work together to find his missing parents, they could discover the truth about Winter’s dad.

The wood is poisoned, changing into something sinister—torturing travelers lost it. Winter must put her trust in Henry in order to find the truth and those they’ve lost.

Bobulski’s eerie debut is filled with friendship, family, and the responsibilities we choose and those we do not.

I saw this picture a few times going around Twitter, but did I think I would happen to see it again on my Goodreads TBR? Nope, definitely not. I seriously have Goodreads adding amnesia. But it sounds so ridiculously thrilling and creepy and FUN CREEPY WOODSY. I LOVE ME SOME CREEPY WOODS…even though I pee my pants a lot of the time with them. D: Plus, this main character shares the name with one of the great TLC ladies. How could I forget that??
