What Have I Got On Pre-order?

I saw the wonderful Zuky over @ Book Bum has been doing a few of these posts lately, and after having a ridiculously busy week, I just needed a fluffy, casual post where not too many of Mandy’s brain cells where used. Therefore, shall we take a trip down this Book Princess’s preorders? Because I’m thinking it’s a really good idea because I literally have no clue what I even have. This will be an educational adventure for all of here, apparently.

Okay, I’m SO excited for this preorder. I think I once told someone this was literally my best preorder ever. Not only am I signed up for two epic sounding fluffy contemporary, there is an epic warrior fantasy as well. I’ve wanted When Dimple Met Rishi since the first time I’ve heard about it since it sounds so fluffy and like some adorable cheesy goodness, and I Believe in a Thing Called Love sounds like it could be hilarious. Plus, I’m SO in love with that cover. Plus, I’ve heard amazing things about The Hundredth Queen, and after reading Krysti’s post about it on YA and Wine, I knew I had to add it in to get my free shipping – which I mean, yeah, I’m totally addicted to free ship. It’s a thing.

It was supposed to be three books. Three books to get the deal and that would be enough for free shipping, but I mean, really. There were too many good ones, and they just looked so pretty. Besides, when was an epic deal going to resurface like this again? NEVER. So I went all in. I’m not even sure what I’m more excited for: Wonder Woman by Leigh Bardugo which is sure to be AMAZING and so much female empowerment that I won’t be able to handle my fangirling self; Wild Beauty which not only has the most stunning cover but also epic diversity; First We Were IV by Alexandra Sirowy which I know is bound to be amazing (I read the first chapter and I’m already hooked); Untitled Superhero School 1…or Renegades by Marissa Meyer if you were wondering what that weird gray book block is which we know I will be fangirling about so hard; or There’s Someone Inside Your House by Stephanie Perkins, which promises to not only be just like her other epic contemporaries but also WITH CRAZY KILLERS. And the cover is epic. Oh swoon.

I actually used to read Gwen Cole’s stuff over on writing websites before she ever was published, and it was soooooooo good. Of course, I actually had to pick this up now that one of her works is actually published. Cold Summer sounds insanely amazing as well.

…and…that’s it, gals and guys. I don’t know how, but I don’t have a million things on preorder right now. :O I’m so impressed with myself. However, I still have about 16.00 left on a giftcard, and I’m so in indecision over what I should use the last of it on. Help me? XD

Don’t worry – tomorrow I will have some time hopefully to write a more intense fangirling post about something, I’m sure. My brain just needed to take a breath. What do you have on preorder? Do we have anything the same? What’s the main reason you preorder? Let’s discuss in the comments below!

  1. Serious book buying envy. I’m trying so hard not to get any new books right now (even though I failed and bought Daughter of the Pirate King yesterday), but your list makes me really tempted to go on a ridiculous book shopping spree… I should probably go hide my cards now lol
I keep seeing When Dimple met Rishi on various blogs & on bookstagram and I really want to read it. Everyone says it just too cute!

    1. Omigosh, I know what you mean. Doing this post kept me going, oh goodness, I DON’T need to buy anymore books, and omigosh, this isn’t enough on preorder, you need more. XD But I wish you super luck since it’s so hard. Also, SUPER YAY FOR DAUGHTER. I have a feeling you’re going to love it, but also sadness for breaking the ban. XD BUT YAY.
And yes! I don’t think I’ve heard a bad review about it, and I’m so waiting for it as patiently as I can. XD

      1. I haven’t seen a bad review for Daughter either! I mostly bought it because one of my fave bookstagram accounts said it made her want to make pirate cupcakes, which obviously made me want to make some pirate cupcakes based on a good book. So here I am reading and trying to get a feel for what kind of cupcakes I’ll be making. 😀 I can’t wait to blog about it. lol. that’s how I know I’m becoming a blogging nerd and not just a book nerd. YAY

      2. Ahahahahaa, omigosh, yeah, I could totally see that being a way to lure you in. I have got to see these pirate cupcakes when you’re done, though!! Lol, omigosh, you’re so right. I never thought about it that way, but literally, now it’s like when I’m finish a book, it’s not, goodness, that was a good book, but goodness, I can’t wait to blog about it. XD

  2. You know I don’t pre-order books for *reasons* but I love hearing about peoples books! Still though I am very jealous! I am super excited for all of these books especially Wonder Woman but I think RENEGADES by Queen Meyer takes the top spot above all! Also When Dimple Met Rishi sounds so adorable and cute so I’m exxcited to read that one too. These upcoming months are literally going to be the best for book releases. YAYAYAYA BOOKS!

    1. Lol, yes, yes. v.v Poor Rendz. And yessssssssssss. But I really think you mean, Untitled Superhero School 1. I don’t know why but I find it hilarious. XD But yes, I’m so excited to see what Meyer does beyond retellings. o.o Rendz, you and I will have to have a fangirling session together about it. But 2017 is going to be insaneeeeee as you said. WOOT WOOT!

    1. Absolutely! That review sold me, so I’m like, I must get more people sold by Krysti’s amazing words. XD I’m trying to practice your philosophy of being excited for these instead of sad for the wait. XD

      1. Hahaha! Well, Emily’s book is easy to gush over. It’s pretty amazing. 🙂 I guess, there’s nothing we can do about the waiting part, so might as well be excited, right?! Hooray for upcoming books!

  4. Wow. That’s a lot of pre-order Mandy! I’ve been waiting for the Wonder Woman by Leigh Bardugo too! But I don’t think I can buy it until it’s release. Haha! And I like your titles on every pre-orders. Haha! 😀 They fit!

      1. Awe! I’m sure here will definitely be heartbreak. She is just so amazing. Isn’t this one the last one?

      2. I think so! Although I was looking on Goodreads and they said that there is going to be three other books in the series? Although I’m assuming it won’t be centered on Feyre? Maybe some of the inner circle?

      3. Oh! That would be awesome! She’ll be here for a signing so I’ll have to see if she mentions it.

      4. Ooooh, yes. I was thinking the sisters, too. o.o Because I’m not sure how she’s going to wrap everything up. But please do let me know if she mentions anything. Although my fangirling heart might not be able to handle it. XD

      5. Right?! We haven’t seen her wrap up a series yet so I’m excited to see how she does. I will definitely let you know!!

      6. Oh for sure! I see some heartache and death happening in one way or another which make her books so epic!

      7. That is a dilemma, although it may take that long to read through them all while still reading everything else!

      8. …you make a fantastic point. It is best to get ahead of the the game. XD Because I always do end up distracted between books. The binge shall have to begin soon then! Thank you for this advice! 😀

    1. Yes! I grabbed with from Zuky because it was so cute. And as you said, it’s so much fun to see what other people have and what’s coming. I definitely would love to see your post as well! 😀 I’m eager to see which two you’re super pumped about. 😀

      1. I’m working on it and it’s scheduled to post tomorrow. Unfortunately, thinking about what’s coming makes me want to buy more of the books that are coming out soon.. and I shouldn’t.
