Mystery Blogger Award Pt. 3?

I think it’s my third time doing it? I’m not quite sure. There is a very easy way to figure it out, but, um, that’s a lot of work for this Book Princess that is trying to juggle what book she’s going to binge read next. Priorities, kids, priorities.

I would like to thank the fantastic Kate over at meltingpotsandothercalamities for this wonderful award. She has an epic blog filled with book tags, fun reviews, and webtoons information that is always a lot of fun! Check it out here!

Three Facts About Me:

  • I have a weird love/hate relationship with roller coasters. Seeing as I’m paranoid of much and this weird and even get scared over those terribly fake ghost shows, you could see where I might have been terribly scared of roller coasters. However, I actually enjoyed them when I first went on them a few years ago…until I see all the news stories about the deaths caused by them. Then it gets real scary.
  • Some of my favorite shows are these weird monster hunting documentary series. I don’t even believe in most of the things they’re looking for, but they’re so entertaining and captivating…or maybe it’s just the hosts since some are being funny for the show and some are just being unintentional in their insanity. I’m looking at you Finding Bigfoot for that last one – but it’s probably my second favorite show. XD
  • I really can’t think of a clever third fact.Ugh.

Kate’s Questions

1. Have you ever checked out a hyped book/movie/TV show/other type of fiction, and did you enjoy it?

Um, yes. XD I think you can refer to yesterday’s post about A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas. I either tend to say away from hyped up books or dive head first into them. There is no in-between for me. This one sadly didn’t work out for me.

2. What is your favorite fandom? I don’t mean the show or book itself, but the group of people involved.

TLC or SOC fandom! Everyone is lovely and no one judges me if I squeal at Caraval’s description of a hat full of crows or just say whenever I was writing A Court of Thorns…I really wanted to add an e to the word and put it all in CAPS. Such a lovely group! 😀

3. Give two of your favorite quotes, one funny, and the other inspirational.

Well, isn’t this fascinating? Both of my quotes come from the great Oscar Wilde. Forever heart eyes when it comes to that man. Both came from Goodreads.

Inspirational:

4. While writing your posts, do you have writer’s block, and if so, what kind is it? Like, do you have trouble coming up with ideas, or do you lack motivation?

Sometimes I’m just not in the mood to write – mostly because my attention is somewhere else. Mostly, when I do that, I go do something else for a while and then come back to it when I feel a bit more focused so I can actually go through the jumble in my brain and write actual words and coherent sentences.

5. (Funny question). Name something you loved as a kid. Do you still like it on occasion?

Well, it actually relates to the weird monster documentaries. I used to love this book series that talked about mythical creatures like that, and I would even read reference books during library time at school about weird sightings. I’m definitely not as fascinated as I was by it as a kid, but I clearly still am somewhat since I watch those shows.

Tag…you’re it! In the nicest and most polite way possible. As usual, feel free to skip if you don’t feel like it! Since I’ve tagged a lot of people in this before, I figured I would tag my last few book blog followers whose blogs are totally awesome. I’m not sure if you do tags or awards, but I figured I would put your name up here anyway and thanks for the follow 😉

The Candid Cover / quirkyandpeculiar / bookfandom1001 / The One Who Reads Aloud / Divine World of Books / booksaccino / Maya Hearts Books / Igniting Pages / The Book Theater / the hermit librarian / toomuchofabooknerd / Bionic Book Worm

My questions:

  1. What was your least favorite book as a kid? Do you remember?
  2. What is the last song that made you feel something big – sad, happy, etc?
  3. What is your favorite Disney character AND/OR Princess (*please be a Princess ;)*) and why?
  4. What book types are your guilty pleasure?
  5. Would you ever run for president/prime minister/leader of your country?

  1. Ohh thank you so much for tagging me! I can’t wait to do this 🙂 And reading that first fact about roller coasters really made me smile because I’m exactly the same! I really enjoy them but I’m really reluctant to actually get on them while I’m waiting in line 😂😂 It’s super weird haha. Thanks again, Mandy! Love you and your lovely blog 💕👏

    1. Lol yes! The wait is probably all the time for second guessing. I was lucky that that day I had a short line so I didn’t get to second guess anything. And thanks so much, Maya! I can’t wait to read your answers!

  2. Thanks so much for the tag! Unfortunately I’ve decided for my own reasons not to do tags/blogger awards anymore. It’s not an easy decision and I don’t want to offend you as I really am humbled that you thought of me. I’ve just already done this tag before and I have too much other content planned. I hope you understand!

  3. Ohhh thank you so much for tagging me in this! This is my first time being tagged in ANYTHING really so I feel honoured haha 😀 I currently have loads of books to read and reviews to write (I went a little overboard with requesting books on netgalley oops!) but I will definitely do this tag in the next few weeks! 🙂

    1. You’re very welcome! And YAY! 😀 Tags can be super fun or a lot of work. XD But hopefully you enjoy! And LOL, omigosh, yes, Netgalley is wonderful but evilllll when you get spam approved for a ton of books. I super wish you luck, but I’ll keep my eye out for it. 😀

  4. Ooh, I liked your answers! I also have a love/hate thing with roller coasters. I dunno, sometimes I like them, sometimes I don’t.
And I’ve also heard a lot about A Court of Thorns and Roses (is that the title?) but I’ve never been interested in checking them out. I dunno why.

    1. Thanks so much, Kate! Is it the type of coaster or just whatever you’re feeling that day? And lol, before I started book blogging, I really had no desire to read it as well. Then the desire became read. But if it has no interest, I say don’t go for it. 😛 Thanks again, Kate!

      1. I think it’s the type of coasters, honestly. Like, I’m usually cool with the ones at Disneyland, but at my “local” amusement park…no.
And yeah, I’m not sure what the plot of a Court of Thorns and Roses is, but…I dunno. Just by the title I’m not sure of it’s my thing. 😅But you never know. And no problem!

      2. I agree. The local ones get a bit scary. XD Disneyland just makes everything more magical. XD And lol that makes sense. But very true. Books can definitely surprise. XD

    1. Thanks so much, Rendz!! YESSSSSSSSSSSS. I’m totally scared of heights, so I figured, rollercoasters would be insanity. But so much fun! And yesssssssssss. They are so intriguing. Okay, two recommendations if you find the time since I know you don’t watch much TV: Finding Bigfoot and Destination Truth. FB is just insanity – literally, these hunters just assume that Bigfoot is real and literally if you say that you saw them without any credible proof, they’ll just be like kk, REAL, CREDIBLE. And they take everything as fact. There’s this guy Bobo, and I think he thinks he’s part Bigfoot so he’s like, well, if I like this, so will Bigfoot. XD So they once decorated a log with donuts because Bobo likes them. THEY GET PAID FOR THIS, RENDZ, PAID. But Destination Truth is super good – humor, folklore, and actual proof sometimes. But mostly epic, witty humor. OMG, I got so off track with this, Rendz. I just love Finding Bigfoot because it’s a serious sitcom without trying to be. I apparently belong in their fandom. XD

      1. HAHAHA DONUTS??? These shows sound really entertaining, perhaps I’ll watch them whenever I have a life again and can watch tv 🙃 Have you ever watched Titanaboa? It’s a documentary about the search for the largest prehistoric snake! Do no watch it if you fear snakes lol! But it is really cool and soooooo fake! 😝 Ooo I forgot to mention, I’m a shark week addict! Whenever it is on in discovery I’m glued to the TV. Now that’s fake!

      2. It really is, Rendz. The week before he did it with bacon…and then another week dead fish. XD I’m worried where they are getting all of this? But I have not!! I do love a good fake one. XD But I can imagine all the fake things they could do. LOL. Oooh sharks. They kind of scare me. But they are soooo fascinating. But I totally agree. Some of their reenactments get so interesting.
