I first found this tag on Thrice Read and knew I wanted to do it because it sounded like a lot of fun. Of course, I always get confused on tag rules, and I decided to hold off on it. As luck would have it, Erynn @ Erynn Loves Books tagged me for it, and I was saved from any and all not-tagged awkwardness. Check out her new blog here, since it’s full of great bookish fun! Thanks so much again, Erynn!
BOOK FOR EACH INITIAL
M – My Lady Jane by Brodi Ashton, Cynthia Hand, and Jodi Meadows
A – Any Boy But You by Julie Hammerle – Adorable! Another A word. Double points?
N – Never Ever by Sara Saedi – a Peter Pan retelling that went wrong for me.
D – Duke of Pleasure by Elizabeth Hoyt – still loling like the child I am.
Y – You Were Here by Cori McCarthy – such a fantastic book, by the way!
AGE – COUNT ALONG YOUR BOOKSHELF
My 21st book is Truthwitch by Susan Dennard. Ironically, I keep thinking about this book lately, but keep talking myself out of it, since I have it stuck in my head that I need to read this in March.
BOOK THAT REPRESENTS A DESTINATION YOU WOULD LOVE TO TRAVEL TOO.
I would love to have Aubree’s experience in Wanderlost by Jen Malone. She travels throughout Europe with a ragtag team of senior citizens, seeing the beautiful sights. It sounds like so much fun – with the group and the fantastic sights she sees.
FAVORITE COLOR
I go between purple or pink. Or pastels. XD I’m going to go with P.S. I Like You by Kasie West, since I love the pink on it. Well, on the side of it.
FONDEST MEMORIES OF
The Bailey School Kids by Debbie Dadey series! I accidentally stumbled upon this during a Goodreads childhood reads binge, and omigosh, this brought back the childhood feels. I used to love these books so much, and one day, I’m going to need to find these and cuddle them forever…wait, you don’t cuddle books? What do you do? Read them?
MOST DIFFICULTY READING
Well, by default, this has to be The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern only for the fact that it took me four months to read it. It really wasn’t that bad, but dear gosh, I apparently had some struggles.
WHICH BOOK IN TBR PILE WILL YOU GET THE BIGGEST SENSE OF ACCOMPLISHMENT FROM?
Teardrop by Lauren Kate. It’s the oldest book on my TBR (and probs even longer on my actual bookshelf), and I’m determined to finally read it this year.
Tag…you’re it.
Nadwa @ painfully fictional / icebreaker694 / Rendz from Readingwithrendz / jannin @ thebooknerd / Evy @ evyreadsbooksblog / Anyone that wishes to do this – my brain is super tired and can’t remember who else enjoys doing tags at the moment – anyone, anyone?
As usual, if you’ve already done this or don’t feel like it, feel free not to do this!
Even though this was one of the simplest tags out there, but it turned out to be one of the funnest (most fun ;)) tags I’ve done so far. What are some of your answers for these? What does your life in books look life?
Aww, this tag sounds so much fun😄 thank you for tagging me❤

Thanks for the tag, Mandy! 😍 Wanderlost was such a great book! I’ve never had the tendency to travel the world, but that book made me want to get lost in Europe and find myself along the way 😍😄

I know! The author did such a fantastic job with her descriptions that I was trying to talk myself out of booking my ticket the moment I got done with it. Hope you enjoy!

Awesome answers Mandy! I remember reading the Bailey School Kids books! Although I don’t think I remember most of the story lines 😅 This tag looks like so much fun, I can’t wait to try it!

Thanks so much! OMG, YAY. I really don’t remember much of their plots either – only the kids thought like everyone working at the school was problematic and supernatural. XD But I’m so glad you remember it, because I was talking to my friends the other day and they thought I was insane for being so excited about them and couldn’t remember anything. D: It was a lot of fun, and I can’t wait for your answers! 😀

Great answers! I really want to read Truthwitch, Wanderlost, and The Night Circus! And thank you for tagging me!! It might be a bit late, but I look forward to doing it!!

Thanks! Wanderlost was a fantastic read, and I’m so excited for Truthwitch, too. I can’t wait to see your answers, and I know what you mean about late – I’m so behind on everything. XD

This was such a cute tag. It’s so interesting to think of what aspects of your life relate in books, great post!

Thanks so much! It was a lot of fun to do, and as you said, you never realize how you relate books relate to you. Very interesting. Thanks so much, though! 🙂

Lol, the first thing that I saw when I went on your blog was this and was freaking out that we both chose Night Circus! Almost nobody else I know had issues with The Night Circus, so I’m glad to find another one that did. It was just…a struggle. 😛 But thank you! 🙂

Right?!! Like everyone raves about this book and I was just reading it completely dreading it. I’m glad you saw that too!! Lol

So true! The only reason I actually ended up finishing it was because my friend told me it was, like, the best book ever, so I had to. XD I definitely was not happy. XD but yesss! 🙂

Same! It was a buddy read so I kinda had to finish it. Otherwise I would have DNF’ed it for sure lol

Oh gosh, so you were super stuck as well. D: How did your buddy enjoy it?

Yeah!! It took me twice as along to read it. My buddy loved it gave it 4 stars but like ugh no

Oh gosh. Wow, what a difference, but yeah, I feel you. It turned into one of my best friend’s favorites and I kept asking myself, where have I gone wrong? XD

I’m glad you enjoyed the tag!! I’ve never read The Night Circus and since you struggled through it, I’ve got to know, was it worthwhile?
LikeLiked by 1 person
I thought it was a beautifully done concept, but I have to say that the execution wasn’t so great. I never understood the plot and if there really was one? It was just okay. XD Not entirely worthwhile. XD

Thanks for the honesty. It’s on my “maybe I’ll eventually get around to reading this” list, but I’m not sure whether it’s a book I’ll ever actually get to when my TBR just keeps growing!
LikeLiked by 1 person
Lol, TBRs seem to do that on their own. D: Glad I kind of helped? XD

Great choices Mandy! 🙂 I love purple and pastels too hahaha
Good luck with reading Teardrop! We all have that one book after all 😛
