Sophie’s Questions

Would you prefer to have a job you loved and earn less or one you hated but earned more?

Job I loved and earned less. Currently where I’m at right now. XD The field I’m in doesn’t really guarantee a lot, lot of money, so I definitely know that I’ll be loving my job.

If you could bring one extinct animal back, what would it be?

Sophie, you really stumped me on this one. XD Wait…the dodo! It’s a bird, but I’m sure it counts, right? It just always seemed so magical as a kid…although I feel like it would be kind of a mean bird?

snow-white
Snow White probably would not appreciate that big of a bird doing her housework.

What’s more appealing to you, living in a past era or in the future?

Since I’m currently addicted to Simone St. James novels which are all set in the 1920s, I would probably say 1920s. And it seems every time I read about the future, there is some crazy technology that is trying to take over my brain. I would like to keep my brain, thank you very much. I have far too many Princess thoughts left to think about.

Do you usually go for the painful truth or blissful ignorance?

Somewhere in the middle? I like to know things, but then totally complain about how much I didn’t want to know about the truth after the fact. So, yes, somewhere in the terrible middle.

Do you have any weird habits that freak everyone out?

Okay, perhaps, not freak people out but definitely annoy people. I have this chewing there, where I can’t stand the sound of other people’s chewing. Some people are totally fine, but there are a few certain people that I literally cannot stand to hear them chew, and it drives me – and them – insane.

Do you usually wear bright clothes or neutral ones?

Bright colors…mostly people most of the Princesses are in bright colors so…yes. Lame reason, but it works.

If you had to see through tinted lenses for the rest of life, what color would they be?

Rose? 😉 Well, actually, I did have those pink sunglasses that everyone in the early 2000s were always wearing, and they weren’t terrible…maybe in fashion, but not the tint.

Do you trust your instincts/are impulsive or do you prefer to calmly examine the situation before you?

Carefully examine, for sure. I definitely am an overthinker…sometimes far too much of one, so I definitely don’t do much of anything on impulse.

If you had to choose to live with only two senses, which would they be? (Touch, smell, taste, sight…)

Probably sight and sound. That way I can read and…hear people? XD But mostly focusing on my reading. Priorities.

When someone says you can’t do something, do you go and do it just to prove them wrong or do you just ignore them?

Ignore them for the most part.

Would you go on the Mars One mission, a once in a lifetime experience, even if it meant never returning to Earth and never seeing your loved ones again?

Noooooooooo. Space scares me. I think I’ve watch far too many space movies and now after reading the Illuminae series, I don’t think I’ll ever have any desire to see or be in space. My Book Princess butt is staying on ground. Well, ground ground.

My Questions

  1. Favorite Disney character – look at me, I’m not even limiting it to a Princess! Can we call this progress?
  2. What can always make you laugh?
  3. What is your favorite quote?
  4. If you could have any animal in the world (or beyond) as a pet and you knew for sure that it wouldn’t eat you, what would it be?
  5. What book do you wish that everyone could read?
  6. Coffee, tea…neither?
  7. What authors are insta-buys for you?
  8. How do you feel about classic books?
  9. What song is stuck in your head right this very minute?
  10. And last but not least, what do you think your favorite book of 2017 will be?

I would like to thank Sophie so much again for the nomination, and really do go check out her blog because it is fantastic! I tried to look for people that hadn’t been nominated for the award before, and there were so many deserving bloggers out there that I might have missed you! ❤ And as always, please don’t feel like you have to do it if I’ve tagged you!

Also, do you ever do something that seems really, really smart and fun at the time and then you look back and what was just a quick jaunt through Netgalley now has 4 new books for you to read that all come out within the next two months when you had just gotten your rating up to 80%? Don’t get me wrong, I’m so thankful for the ARCS, but oh my stars, I was full on not prepared for this madness. D: I guess I’ll be changing my February TBR around. XD

  1. Congratulations! For some reason, I have always been fascinated by the planets and space. One of my favorite units in elementary school was when we were learning about the planets, and Pluto was always my favorite, I’m mad that it isn’t considered a legitimate planet anymore. Ironically, Pluto was always my favorite Disney character.

    1. Thanks so much! I was so upset, too, for the same reason! As a kid, Pluto was my favorite Disney character, and it felt like they were taking him away when they took away the planet. I still call it a planet. XD But the planets and the whole galaxy/star system always had me enthralled. Do you have a new favorite planet now or still Pluto? XD

      1. Lol, yes, rightfully so! I have noticed that I don’t see Pluto as much now in the Disney stuff as he was before when the planet was still a planet. Which is a shame. D:

  3. Thank you for the tag!! Those answers were fun to read. I also have problem with people chewing when I’m around. Well not chewing per se but I hate the sound they make when they chew. It’s disgusting. xP

    1. YES, OMG. The sound drives me insane. I have some super loud chewing people in my life too. This one person always sounds like whatever he is chewing is going through a washing machine. D: I’m glad I’m not the only one with this issue! XD

  4. Omg we’re so much more alike than I thought! xD I can’t stand people chewing either, or smacking their lips or any other similar sounds… It just makes my skin crawl.
I would also like to live in the past, except we women would probably suffer quite a bit… But if that weren’t an issue, totally my go to era.
I’m also an overthinker… But at the same time impulsive? Hahaha I’m just a complicated individual.
I really enjoyed this post and you have the ability to always make me laugh, so that’s awesome! Thank you so much for the shout out and I’m hoping to read more from you again 🙂 ❤

    1. Omigosh yes! My dad has the worst chewing too, and it just makes my skin crawl as well. I’m glad I’m not the only one. Slurping kills me too.
Oh true. Well, crap. Maybe just like in the 90s then. XD
Lol that sounds like would be intense. But i could see where you could be both at the same. Do you do an impulsive thing and then overthink that? I have done that on occasion when I actually do something impulsive. But it does sound complicated, lol. XD
And thanks so much! ❤ I really appreciate it! I feel like I just ended my other comment like that. I need to find more appreciative words XD
